According to latest rumors, the sixth generation iPhone is expected to arrive in fall of 2012. The new iphone 5 is most likely to show up somewhere in October 2012, one year after its successor, iphone 4S, iMoore reported on friday.
Last weeks’ rumors from Routers claimed that ip5 will have much larger 4.8 inch RETINA display which would be rally big turn around for iphone considering its current 3.5 inch display size. However those claims were dismissed by apple watcher and insiders who noticed that such dramatic change in deplay size would represent a big problem for software developers who are writing software for current 3.5 inch RETINA display.
Amoung other rumored specifications for the new ip5 there is 4G LTE radio connectivity using Qualcomm’s “MDM9615″ LTE chip.

During the past few days, there were many “pictures” of upcoming Samsung’s galaxy S3 headset, but this one might be the real deal. This picture occured on reddit.com and it is considered to be samsung’s newest top class phone. The specifications are clearly unknown, but its guessed that the phone will have gigantic screen- we are talking 4.8′ here which is HUGE(powered by HD resolution, full hd is not excluded). The device looks really thin, and has screen that streches to the very edges of device. But what is really important is device’s computing power. We are expecting quad core cpu here for sure.

Samsung galaxy S3 is expected to be revealed at April, but newest information leaks that the big day is May the 22th

Ice Cream Sandwich has been a big hit with users, and many just can’t wait for ICS to land on their devices. Unfortunately, the waiting list is a pretty long one for devices that don’t have it already, and most are depending on the likes of CyanogenMod and leaks to get their fill of ICS.

Download it here

XDA Recognized Developer andy572 has other plans, though, to help users get a taste of ICS in the form a launcher called PhoenixLauncher. This gives users on Gingerbread a chance to taste the ICS goodness without waiting for OEMs to release it. The launcher is for root users only, which is kind of unique as most aren’t. The reason behind it, according to the developer:

Otherwise you cant use widgets shown in the Application drawer. Its required because of a general
permission in the Android operating system, this can never be fixed by me!

The launcher comes in both free and paid versions. In the free version, you’re limited to 3 home screens and the dock bar of ICS along with some other fun features. It’s a little stripped down, but it definitely gives users the feel of ICS without actually having it. The installation method is also a little complicated, and requires users to put the .Apk in the in /system/app before using, otherwise it will cause problems.

For anyone who wants to try it out, you can find all the details, the installation method and screen shots in the original thread. Don’t forget to make a backup, just in case.

XDA member ZeroManArmy shows Graph 89; an emulator for Texas Instrument ROM images. You need to have the software off a TI-89 for it to work, but once you have copied the image to your phone or tablet, you essentially have the real deal on your precious Android.

You will find much of your favorite mathematical functions such as: Graphing, derivatives, stats, amongst others. The app still in public alpha and looks a bit strange on small screens, so it´s better you use app on tablets for now.

Your feed back is much appreciated during alpha testing, thanks for reading.

For those who enjoy video games, Playstation making moves in the Android world has been very exciting. Sure, they put their support out for only a very select few phones, but it was a start and something to build on. It was only a matter of time before things got better for the mobile gaming demographic.

Well, the news is only getting better as XDA Senior Member bcarter2000 has dropped a tip off in the forums that HTC could be getting Playstation Certified as early as Mobile World Congress. As if we didn’t have enough to look forward to!

The story, which has appeared on Yahoo! News via Pocket-lint, says:

The official announcement might come as soon as the end of February at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, sources claim. If true, the certification will let users play PlayStation One games on HTC devices.

Joy! For many gamers, the only way to get their Playstation fix thus far has been emulators. However, ROMs for those can be buggy, laggy, and saved data seems to be more easily corrupted. Nevertheless, aficionados of gaming have something to look forward to.

If you’d like to read the whole story, you can find a link to it in this XDA Thread where readers are also doing some discussion. Or you can find the original Yahoo! News article here.

Following a slew of other phones late last week, the CyanogenMod team has just added nightly build support for three new devices — Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Pro and Xperia Active, as well the LG Thrill 4G — AT&T’s version of the Optimus 3D. Nightly builds of the popular custom ROM are built every day by the team’s army of robots, giving advanced users the change to try out the very latest untested versions, bugs and all. They’re also an important milestone towards a device being fully supported by CM.

Also worth noting is the fact that these nightlies are based on the current CyanogenMod 7 release, rather than the upcoming CyanogenMod 9, so if you’re after ICS on these devices, then you’ll have to wait a little while longer. We’ve got individual device links after the jump, or alternatively you can hit the source link to see all CM7 nightly builds.
